Nacht der Forschung 2025

Morgane Fournier and I participated in the Nacht der Forschung event with the University of Bern, where we had the opportunity to present our research projects and discuss our work directly with the public. Throughout the event, we exchanged with visitors of all ages, answered questions about our scientific activities, and shared insights into the goals and impact of our research.

Events like Nacht der Forschung are incredibly valuable because they help bridge the gap between researchers and society. The work carried out in laboratories and research institutions often remains quite unknown or misunderstood by the general public. By creating opportunities for open discussions, these events allow people to better understand what researchers actually do on a daily basis, why scientific research matters, and how it can contribute to society.

Personally, I truly enjoy participating in this kind of outreach activity. It is always inspiring to see how curious and enthusiastic people are when they discover new scientific topics. Many visitors were genuinely eager to learn more about our projects, ask thoughtful questions, and engage in meaningful conversations about science and innovation. Sharing our passion for research with such an interested audience is both motivating and rewarding.

Who knows! Perhaps events like these will inspire younger generations and spark new vocations for future researchers and scientists. Encouraging curiosity and making science more accessible to everyone is an important step toward building the next generation of researchers.
