We are back with Morgane at one of our favourite museums, La Specola in Firenze!!!! This time, we were there to loan Fire salamander specimens! We spent the day in the collection with Annamaria Nistri, selecting and carefully packing the specimens before taking them for CT scanning. Just look at these beauties!!!!! They come not only from Italy, but also from across Eastern Europe, allowing Morgane to cover a large part of the species’ distribution throughout Europe!!!
Once we were done, we also had the chance to visit the new temporary exhibition featuring the incredible chimeric creature drawings and stories by Arianna Fioratti Loreto! A must to see!
