herp\u00e9tologique de La Specola, \u00e0 Florence, en Italie. Ce mus\u00e9e jouit depuis longtemps d\u2019une r\u00e9putation particuli\u00e8re parmi les herp\u00e9tologues, et le fait d\u2019avoir enfin l\u2019occasion d\u2019explorer ses collections en personne s\u2019est av\u00e9r\u00e9 une v\u00e9ritable source d\u2019inspiration. D\u00e8s notre arriv\u00e9e, nous avons \u00e9t\u00e9 chaleureusement accueillis par la conservatrice en herp\u00e9tologie, Annamaria Nistri, dont la gentillesse et l\u2019enthousiasme ont rendu cette visite encore plus m\u00e9morable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La collection elle-m\u00eame est remarquable et rec\u00e8le une impressionnante diversit\u00e9 de sp\u00e9cimens d\u2019amphibiens provenant d\u2019Italie et de toute l\u2019Europe. La Specola est notamment r\u00e9put\u00e9e pour son pr\u00e9cieux mat\u00e9riel consacr\u00e9 aux tritons alpins et aux salamandres tachet\u00e9es, deux esp\u00e8ces embl\u00e9matiques qui sont au c\u0153ur du projet de th\u00e8se de Morgane. Pour nous, l\u2019un des moments les plus passionnants a \u00e9t\u00e9 de constater le nombre extraordinaire de sp\u00e9cimens de tritons alpins provenant \u00e0 la fois de populations p\u00e9domorphes et m\u00e9tamorphes. Trouver une repr\u00e9sentation aussi riche de ces deux formes de cycle de vie dans une collection mus\u00e9ale est extr\u00eamement rare et a imm\u00e9diatement mis en \u00e9vidence l\u2019importance scientifique de ce mat\u00e9riel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">D\u00e8s le premier coup d\u2019\u0153il, les diff\u00e9rences externes entre ces deux formes sont frappantes. Les tritons alpins p\u00e9domorphes conservent leurs caract\u00e9ristiques larvaires \u00e0 l'\u00e2ge adulte et ont presque la forme d'une t\u00eate de poisson, avec des traits trapus et des branchies externes qui leur conf\u00e8rent une apparence tr\u00e8s particuli\u00e8re. En revanche, les individus m\u00e9tamorphiques sont beaucoup plus petits et ressemblent moins \u00e0 des poissons, avec des t\u00eates nettement plus petites. Observer ces deux formes c\u00f4te \u00e0 c\u00f4te \u00e9tait fascinant et offrait une illustration visuelle saisissante de la diversit\u00e9 du d\u00e9veloppement chez les salamandres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Au cours de notre visite, nous avons soigneusement s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 un grand nombre de sp\u00e9cimens qui feront prochainement l'objet d'une tomodensitom\u00e9trie \u00e0 T\u00fcbingen au cours des prochaines semaines. Ces examens fourniront des donn\u00e9es morphologiques pr\u00e9cieuses pour les projets de recherche en cours et contribueront de mani\u00e8re significative aux travaux de th\u00e8se de Morgane. La richesse de la collection offre des perspectives passionnantes pour des analyses comparatives et de nouvelles perspectives sur l'\u00e9volution des strat\u00e9gies de d\u00e9veloppement chez les salamandres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Au-del\u00e0 de la collection herp\u00e9tologique, la Specola elle-m\u00eame a constitu\u00e9 une exp\u00e9rience extraordinaire. Nous avons \u00e9galement eu la chance de d\u00e9couvrir la collection historique de figures en cire du mus\u00e9e, c\u00e9l\u00e8bre pour ses mod\u00e8les anatomiques d\u2019une incroyable pr\u00e9cision. Le savoir-faire et le r\u00e9alisme de ces \u0153uvres sont \u00e9poustouflants et refl\u00e8tent la longue histoire scientifique et artistique du mus\u00e9e. De plus, nous avons visit\u00e9 les collections de botanique et de syst\u00e9matique r\u00e9cemment r\u00e9am\u00e9nag\u00e9es, qui allient \u00e0 merveille connaissances scientifiques et pr\u00e9sentation \u00e9l\u00e9gante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un autre moment fort de ce voyage a \u00e9t\u00e9 la d\u00e9couverte de l'exposition temporaire de Giovanni Lopez. L'exposition pr\u00e9sentait des animaux anthropomorphes plac\u00e9s dans des paysages oniriques et fantastiques, cr\u00e9ant ainsi des sc\u00e8nes qui semblaient presque surr\u00e9alistes. Les \u0153uvres, empreintes de fortes connotations m\u00e9taphysiques, invitaient les visiteurs \u00e0 plonger dans des univers imaginaires o\u00f9 la nature, le symbolisme et la fantaisie se m\u00ealaient de mani\u00e8re fascinante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dans l'ensemble, ce voyage a \u00e9t\u00e9 un immense succ\u00e8s, tant sur le plan scientifique que personnel. Nous sommes revenus avec des donn\u00e9es pr\u00e9cieuses, de nouvelles id\u00e9es et une grande motivation pour les mois \u00e0 venir.
