Le Mus\u00e9e de zoologie des vert\u00e9br\u00e9s abrite l'une des plus belles collections au monde de salamandres et de s\u00e9ries ontog\u00e9n\u00e9tiques. Il perp\u00e9tue \u00e9galement l'h\u00e9ritage remarquable de Dave Wake, l'un des chercheurs les plus influents de tous les temps dans le domaine des salamandres, dont les travaux ont inspir\u00e9 des g\u00e9n\u00e9rations de scientifiques dans ce domaine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Au cours de mon s\u00e9jour, j'ai \u00e9t\u00e9 chaleureusement accueilli par Jack Tseng, Juan Liu et, dernier mais non des moindres, Narimane Chatar. Ces deux semaines ont \u00e9t\u00e9 intenses mais incroyablement productives : nous avons r\u00e9alis\u00e9 des tomodensitom\u00e9tries sur un total de 666 sp\u00e9cimens, dont des s\u00e9ries ontog\u00e9n\u00e9tiques comprenant au moins 5 larves et 5 adultes pour plus de 30 esp\u00e8ces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L'ensemble de donn\u00e9es couvre d\u00e9sormais une part importante de la diversit\u00e9 des salamandres, avec une repr\u00e9sentation bien plus importante des stades larvaires !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vient maintenant le prochain d\u00e9fi : segmenter et marquer les points de rep\u00e8re sur l'ensemble des 666 sp\u00e9cimens.
