Last week, part of the META-MORPHOSIS team attended the 13th Symposium de Morphom\u00e9trie et d’\u00c9volution des Formes (SMEF) in Lyon, France. I was truly honored to be invited to deliver the keynote lecture at a meeting that holds a very special place in my scientific journey. SMEF was, in fact, the very first conference I attended as a master\u2019s student, where I presented my first research results. Returning this year to present the META-MORPHOSIS project, including both published findings and ongoing preliminary results, was particularly meaningful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morgane Fournier and Vivien Louppe also presented their work in front of more than 120 scientists specializing in morphological evolution. Morgane shared preliminary results on the impact of life-cycle variation on the morphology of Alpine newts and Fire salamanders, while Vivien presented his results exploring the interplay between diversification dynamics and morphological evolution in salamanders.All our presentation did received warm and fruitful feedback. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
