L'int\u00e9gration d\u00e9crit la variation coordonn\u00e9e des caract\u00e8res, et l'analyse de ces relations entre les caract\u00e8res r\u00e9v\u00e8le souvent la pr\u00e9sence de modules, c'est-\u00e0-dire d'ensembles de caract\u00e8res fortement int\u00e9gr\u00e9s mais relativement ind\u00e9pendants des autres caract\u00e8res. L'int\u00e9gration ph\u00e9notypique et la modularit\u00e9 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tudi\u00e9es \u00e0 la fois au niveau \u00e9volutif et statique dans une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de clades, bien que la plupart des \u00e9tudes se soient concentr\u00e9es jusqu'\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent sur les amniotes, et en particulier les mammif\u00e8res.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1093\/biolinnean\/blaa020\" target=\"_blank\">notre article publi\u00e9 cette semaine dans le Biological Journal of the Linnean Society<\/a>Nous utilisons une approche morphom\u00e9trique g\u00e9om\u00e9trique \u00e0 haute dimension pour \u00e9tudier le mod\u00e8le d'int\u00e9gration cr\u00e2nienne et la modularit\u00e9 de la salamandre de feu italienne (<em>Salamandra salamandra giglioli<\/em>). Nous avons trouv\u00e9 un mod\u00e8le tr\u00e8s modulaire, mais ce mod\u00e8le ne soutient pas les hypoth\u00e8ses enti\u00e8rement d\u00e9veloppementales ou fonctionnelles de l'organisation cr\u00e2nienne, refl\u00e9tant peut-\u00eatre des interactions complexes entre de multiples facteurs d'influence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nous avons constat\u00e9 que la taille n'avait pas d'effet significatif sur la forme du cr\u00e2ne et que la variance morphologique des modules individuels n'avait pas de relation significative avec le degr\u00e9 d'int\u00e9gration \u00e0 l'int\u00e9rieur du module.
